3 Food/Wine Pairings You Need to Try at Alba's

A good wine pairing can make or break a meal. But, for those of us not as knowledgable in the wine field as your resident sommelier, we've created a list of the top three food + wine combos that you need to try on your next trip to Alba in Santa Monica, CA.

1. Pinot Noir and Chestnut & Mushroom Agnolotti

Alba's Chestnut & Mushroom Agnolotti pairs wonderfully with our Fossil Point Edna Valley 2020 Pinot Noir. The earthiness of the mushrooms can enhance the earthy notes often found in Pinot Noir.

2. Prosecco and Fig & Prosciutto Pizza

We suggest pairing our Glera Frizzante Bisson Veneto 2022 Prosecco with our Fig & Proscuitto pizza. The saltiness of prosciutto pairs nicely with the bright acidity of the wine, while the sweet fig adds a fresh contrast that works well with the light body of the Glera Frizzante.

3. Sauvignon Blanc and Diver Scallops

White wine and seafood is a tale as old as time. Our Marine Dubard 'Coeur de Mont' Vin De France 2022 Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with our Diver Scallops. The wine's acidity helps to cut through the richness of the scallops, while its citrusy flavors can complement the natural sweetness of the seafood.
